What is the difference between Computing and Information Technology?

It is almost like the two are used interchangeably and may mean the same thing. But I suspect that there is a difference between computing and information technology. Even as careers, they seem different.

Computing is basically about the design and working of computer systems while information technology is the application of computing to solve everyday problems for organisations and individuals.
