Customers always asking for a decrease

As we all know, recently there have been an increase in the price of things. Business owners and entrepreneurs now have to spend double what they normally do just to buy the materials needed to carry on with their business. Even with these changes, customers still tend to argue for a reduce in price. This can be very frustrating for most business owners. How do you handle these kind of customers?
This is normal but some customers don’t know how to ask for it in a polite way. Some of these customers will even force you to decrease the price of the goods and when you don’t, you’d be looking like a bad person

Customers that always price but never purchase.

I have some persons who all they do is price, from time to time they message me asking for the price of a particular product or services. After agreeing on a price which they themselves even agree that it is a fair price, they tell me they would get back to me only for them to do it else well or not at all. How do you handle such customers? Do you keep answering them with the hopes that they will patronize you one day or do I start ignoring them.
This thing can be very annoying and there are so many people who have done that to me in my shop. What I do now is not respond to them but it’s sad that you never can tell the one who will buy or not
